Seijun Suzuki - Computer World (1988)

Seijun Suzuki - Computer World (1988)

During a hiatus from directing in the late 1980's Japanese director Seijun Suzuki (probably most famous for his film Tokyo Drifter) recorded an album of ambient electronic music influenced by what he called "the coming technological revolution." The album was pressed by a small Japanese imprint but copies numbered less than 500 and the record soon became a collector's item. Although it was recorded using little more than a Roland D-50, the frequent use of pentatonic scales gives it a distinct Japanese vibe.

Tracklist:

1. Tokyo Sunrise - 12:15

2. Tokyo Sunset - 7:56
