Exit Sign - Search The World (1995)

By all accounts a very strange album, Exit Sign's debut is a mish mash of synthesizers, distorted guitars and late 1980s hip hop samples that is almost impossible to compare to anything heard since. Hailing from Manchester, United Kingdom, Exit Sign front man Fuzzy Dunlop described the album as "a festering bowl of porridge, a leftover hamburger or generally any kind of food that no one wants to eat." Although I've personally never found this quote to be helpful in understanding the album in any way, after listening to it, it seems that maybe its true meaning is best left for Fuzzy himself to figure out.
